"SURPRISING, SUSPENSEFUL AND CROWD-ROUSING. The final play in August Wilson's MAGNIFICENT cycle has CRACKLING COMEDY, ENGAGING SNAP AND THEATRICAL ZEST. In Mr. Wilson's world, THE SONG, IT SEEMS, HASN'T ENDED, AFTER ALL."
- Ben Brantley, The New York Times
"GREAT THEATER! August Wilson takes no prisoners in this fascinating play, beautifully staged by Kenny Leon and marvelously played by a dazzling Harry Lennix."
- Clive Barnes, New York Post
"Wilson at the TOP OF HIS GAME! A SMART, RESONANT and SOLIDLY ENTERTAINING production that was WORTH THE WAIT! HARRY LENNIX anchors the production, capturing a mindful man's dilemma. TONYA PINKINS is a woman with a mission. Director KENNY LEON has assembled A CAST THAT CLICKS!"
- Joe Dziemianowicz, Daily News
"GORGEOUS WRITING with A BIG HEART! Not only is this Wilson's most contemporary work. It is also his MOST ACCESSIBLE & MOST UNAMBIGUOUSLY POLITICAL - an urgent call to remember what the 20th century has done to these people and its community."
- Linda Winer, Newsday
"THE DIALOGUE CRACKLES with the poetry and FIERCE conscience that made Wilson ONE OF THIS COUNTRY'S MOST ESSENTIAL ARTISTS!"
- Elysa Gardner, USA Today
"IT'S HARD NOT TO FEEL THE TUG OF EMOTION as the curtain rises on 'Radio Golf,' the final play in AUGUST WILSON's ASTOUNDING 10-play cycle. It may be the clearest and most accessible of the lot, and the most rewarding. Watching, one ponders who will fill Wilson's shoes - will anybody be so FEARLESS and UNFLINCHING about the realities of black life in America? ONE DOUBTS IT."
- Jacques le Sourd, The Journal News
"'Radio Golf' brings the titanic undertaking of a great playwright to a conclusion, with some of Wilson's characteristically vibrant arias."
- David Rooney, Variety
"Under the sensitive molding of director KENNY LEON, TONYA PINKINS conveys the self-assurance of a driven woman and HARRY LENNIX has a quiet charisma."
- David Rooney, Variety
"'Radio Golf' brings Wilson's AMAZING 10-play journey to an EMOTIONAL, HOPEFUL CONCLUSION. The play's prime speeches are CLASSIC examples of Wilson's EXPANSIVE, LYRICAL and frequently VERY FUNNY style. HARRY LENNIX plays Harmond Wilks with CRISP ASSURANCE, and TONYA PINKINS plays his wife with a SWEET FIERCENESS."
- Michael Kuchwara, AP

AND HUMOR."

- Robert Feldberg, The Record
"An indispensable and fitting finale in which Wilson has gathered the century's hopes and frustrations, and loads the dice by making the conflict messy and personal. The calm, self-possessed Harry Lennix inspires complete confidence: I'd vote for him for mayor right now. Kenny Leon's blocking is brilliant."
- Christopher Rawson, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
